Healthcare is a crucial aspect of any society, and ensuring that citizens have access to high-quality healthcare services is essential for the overall well-being of the community. This is why government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa invest heavily in the establishment and maintenance of hospitals and other healthcare facilities.
However, despite the best efforts of organizations, there are times when the quality of healthcare services provided by certain hospitals may fall below acceptable standards. In such cases, it is the responsibility of the healthcare organization to take action to rectify the situation.
Recently, State Life that operates Sehat Card Plus KP Programme has taken action to suspend 48 hospitals for six months (with effect from 5th December 2022) due to unsatisfactory treatment facilities. This decision was made after a thorough evaluation of the facilities and services provided by these hospitals revealed that they did not meet the required standards of Sehat Card Plus KP.
The suspension of these hospitals is a significant step towards ensuring that citizens receive high-quality free healthcare services under Sehat Card Plus KP Programme. The State Life’s decision to take action against these hospitals sends a clear message that substandard healthcare services will not be tolerated.
It is important to note that the suspension of these hospitals is not a punitive measure but rather a necessary step towards ensuring that citizens receive high-quality healthcare services. The State Life has taken this action to protect the well-being of its patients and ensure that they receive the best possible care.
